We enjoyed the rest of the evening and we were finally leaving the studios for Chris’s dressing room at 1:00am. The next morning I woke up, still in my black dress and stilettos, with my head on Chris’s chest. His arms were wrapped around me.
“Ughh, I feel rotten.” I said into Chris’s shoulder.
“I think the word you’re looking for is hungover.” Chris said smiling.
“Is it training today?” I asked.
“Yeah.” Chris responded kissing the top of my head
“Can’t we just stay here, me and you?” I said closing my eyes.
“I wish Barbie.”He replied running his fingers through my hair.
Eventually we both got up and got ready. I threw on a pair of black leggings, a pink vest top and put a brush through my hair before we both went down to the rink. Jayne was already waiting for us (which makes a change.)
We joined her on the ice and it was safe to say she looked how I felt. Chris began the training session but me and Jayne lagged behind gossiping and complaining. I was stood at the side talking to Jayne when Chris skated up behind me and lifted me into his strong arms before spinning me around quickly. I screamed, and then laughed when I realised who it was. When he put me back on the ice he didn’t say anything he just kissed me passionately; brushing a curtain of hair behind my ear.

When we finally broke away every eye in the rink was on us.
“Will you come and help me now Barbie?” Chris said cheekily holding my hand.
“Oh I suppose.” I replied grinning skating after him to the group of celebrities and pro’s.
We started with the group routine and Chris was teaching the boys and me and Jayne were teaching the girls. We taught the girls the steps before watching their first run through of it. I happened to turn around and I Chris caught my eye. We both smiled. I turned back to Jayne who looked at me.
“He adores you Kaz.” Jayne said beaming.
“I adore him to.” I replied smiling back at my best friend.
We turned our attention back to the group. When both the boys and the girls knew what they were doing we joined them back up and tried to piece everything together.
3 hours later I skated over to Chris and we all sat down ready to view today’s work. The routine looked great and it was all coming together nicely. There were only a few things left to work on but we were shattered so we decided to leave them for the next day. I went back to Chris’s dressing room with him. We kicked off our skates and lay down on the bed.
The next morning we woke up early. I had an hour of coaching at my local rink before the training for Dancing on Ice continued. I kissed Chris goodbye before I got into the car and began my drive to the rink. I was driving along a road when a car on the other side (clearly speeding) swung out of control and knocked my car over. I screamed, hit my head on the dashboard as the car rolled down the bank before blacking out. I briefly came round to the sound of my phone ringing. I looked over, it was one of the girl’s mums who I was supposed to be taking for a lesson, I only hoped and prayed that for some miracle they would call Chris...
The next time I regained consciousness I briefly opened my eyes. I was lying on the grass on a stretcher with a medical team surrounding me. I didn’t have the energy to talk or open my eyes fully so I shut them again. I felt a hand tighten on mine.
“Come on darling, it’s you and me against the world remember, I’m nothing without you.” It was Chris; he barely said the words through the tears. I desperately wanted to tell him I was alive but I couldn’t
I heard other voices. Jayne’s, the girl and her mother who I was supposed to be teaching and many more. I was lifted off the ground and into the ambulance. An oxygen mask was attached to my face and the doors of the ambulance were closed; Chris was still holding my hand.
After a couple of minutes I opened my eyes and looked at Chris.
“Oh sweetheart.” Chris said as tears rolled down his face.
I moved my hand to the oxygen mask and removed it briefly. “I’m ok, it’ll be ok.” I said as tears formed in my eyes too.
“I’m the one that should be reassuring you.” Chris said with a weak laugh before kissing my forehead.
When I got to the hospital luckily there were no broken bones. I had to have stitches in the side of my head near my eyebrow and stay over in the hospital until they were sure I was going to be ok. I was badly cut and bruised in places and still rather shaken up. The oxygen mask had also been left on.
Chris sat at the side of my bed and gently ran his fingers through my hair.
“What are we going to do with you Barbie?” He said quietly.
