When my feet landed back on the ice again I turned round and kissed Chris passionately. Jayne smiled, she looked so happy for us. I just stayed there in his arms, I heard footsteps in the distance and the Studio door creaked open, there stood Stephen looking absolutely formidable.
"So its true then." He said glaring at me and Chris angrily.
"Listen mate-" Chris began however he was cut off by Stephens yells.
"YOU are not my mate lover boy! " He said skating towards me as he spoke
"And you!" He said turning to me "Are a slag, a tart and gosh I'm glad I left you! You were probably with him when we were still together. Weren't you eh?" He yelled.
Chris stepped in front of me protectively but Stephen had a rather skilled aim. He punched me hard on the arm, knocking me down onto the ice as I fell I landed heavily on my wrist. Jayne rushed over immediately and crouched down beside me Chris joined her as security escorted Stephen out and I was suddenly surrounded by medics.
"Kaz, are you alright." Chris said worriedly.
"I can't move my wrist..." I said turning to face Chris.
The medics Chris and Jayne helped me up and began to check over my wrist. 10 minutes later they confirmed it was just a bad bruise but they put a support cast on it never the less. After that ordeal was over I insisted on continuing with the training session, well what was left of it...
After the session was over myself and Chris walked hand in hand to the car before driving back to my house. Luckily we didn't catch a glimpse of the press and had a rather peaceful drive. The second we got into my house we sat down on the sofa and Chris lifted me onto his lap.
"How's your wrist?" Chris asked kissing my forehead.
"Fine thanks." I smiled wrapping my uninjured arm around his neck.
"I love you." He said holding my injured hand in his.
"I love you too, always and forever." I said leaning in close and kissing him romantically.
Without Chris, today would have been a total disaster...

The next day my wrist was throbbing. I removed the bandage and the whole thing was bruised. I changed the bandage before getting in the shower and putting on my favorite pair of skinny jeans and a simple black vest top. Chris was already downstairs so I grabbed my skates and slipped on a pair of black stilettos with diamonds down the heels before running as best as I could down the stairs.
"Morning beautiful." Chris said kissing me as I reached the bottom of the stairs.
"Morning babe, how long have you been up for?" I questioned
"About 1 hour, I couldn't bear to wake you aswell. Anyway how's your wrist." He replied.
I took of the bandage and showed him the state of my hand. Chris looked shocked and upset as he spotted other bruises and scratches on my arm from where I hit the ice.
"I can't believe he did this to you!" Chris said clearly angry at Stephen.
"Me neither." I said re-bandaging my wrist again.
We noticed what time it was and decided it would be best if we set off for the Studios. We traveled down in Chris's car as I decided it would be best not to drive with my wrist how it was. It was a good job we left earlier than usual as the traffic was horrific! Eventually we managed to fight our way through the worst of the traffic and arrived at the Studio. Chris parked in his usual parking bay before opening the boot and fetching both sets of our skates out before we walked hand in hand into the Studio and arriving at rink side a couple of minutes later. We were the only two there. I turned on my phone to find a text from Jayne saying that she was running late she too was stuck in traffic and to start without her.
"Well its going to be just us this morning." I said standing on my toe pick to wrap my arms around Chris's neck
"That sounds fun." Chris said seductively putting his arms around my waist.
I felt so safe when I was with him. We had a good morning training session without Jayne however she arrived at 11:00am and joined us on the ice to help out. Actually the day practically flew by. My wrist still hurt a lot but at least it wasn't broken and before we all knew it it was time to go home. Myself and Chris got in the car but instead of driving home he took a different route and he told me to close my eyes. I could feel the car stopping. The door of the car opened and then shut telling me that Chris had got out and then my door opened. Chris took hold of my hand and helped me out of the car before leading me inside some sort of building.
"You can take that blindfold off now." Chris said smiling.
As I took the blindfold off I discovered that I was in the most beautiful looking restaurant I had ever seen.
"Chris this is amazing!" I exclaimed
"Its not over yet gorgeous." He said putting his arm around my waist as he lead me towards a table that had been reserved for us.
"What's all of this for eh?" I said smiling .
"Just a treat for my princess. You've been through a hard time Kaz, you deserve this." He said romantically.
I lent across the table and kissed him passionately. I just knew we were going to have a lovely time.

The next day I woke up and remembered the amazing time I had last night. As I turned over instead of seeing Chris on the other side of the bed I saw an envelope with 'Open Me' wrote on the front. Instantly I sat up. It was Chris's handwriting. I picked up the envelope and carefully opened it, inside was a folded piece of paper as I unfolded it it said:
Dear my darling Karen,
Don't panic. I left early for the Studio's to prepare for the session. Things will explain themselves when you arrive. See you at the Studio for 8:00am my gorgeous girl, don't be late.
Love you forever darling

I put the paper back in the envelope and began to get ready. Time was going slowly without Chris being there. I changed into a pair of black leggings and a white flowy top with a black heart on it before putting on my black heels and rushing down the stairs to get my skates and go.
The drive down to the Studio felt strange without Chris. It felt like it was taking longer. There was no traffic on the roads so that element of the journey was pleasant at exactly 7:55 I parked my car and walked into the studio towards the rink. As I walked onto rinkside the whole place was darker than usual. I traveled over and looked down onto the rink and an amazing sight met my eyes. All along the middle of the ice were small Tea Light Candles, as I looked more closely I noticed they spelt out a sentence. It read: Karen Barber, Will you marry me? Chris skated onto the ice in front of the candles and got down on one knee opening a box containing a beautiful silver engagement ring with one glittering diamond in the centre, that was why he left early. I was speechless. I joined him on the ice as he said
"Karen my sweet, Will you marry me." He said as tears formed in his eyes
"Yes of course I will!" I said as tears of joy ran down my face aswell.
Chris skated towards me and pulled me into a romantic hug. All of the pro skater piled out from the most unlikely hiding places and began to celebrate with us
"I've been worrying about that all morning." He joked holding onto both of my hands.
"I love you." I said still in shock
"I love you too, soon to be Mrs Dean." He said smiling.
We both opened a bottle of champagne and it was celebrations all day. Jayne, all the Pro Skater and Crew joined in and celebrated with us. I just couldn't believe it, It was the best day of my life without a doubt

The rest of the day was filled was celebrations. I just couldn't stop smiling. Myself and Chris were already discussing venues and who would be the best man and bridesmaids. I was just buzzing with excitement . Jayne managed to make her way through the crowd to me and she hugged me tightly.
"This is so fantastic!" Jayne squealed
"I know right! Jayne can I ask you something..." I asked, I knew it was the right time.
"Yeah sure." She answered.
"Will you be my Bridesmaid!" I exclaimed.
"OH MY GOSH, YES!" Jayne said grabbing my hands and jumping up and down.
Suddenly the door of the Studio flung open and there stood Nicky Slater, my previous skating partner carrying a big bouquet of flowers. I hadn't seen him for so long. I skated over to the barrier as Nicky walked towards me.
"Karen Barber, long time no see!" Nicky said joining everyone else on the ice.
"Nicky!" I said hugging him "How've you been?"
"Good thanks. Oh I almost forgot." He said handing me the flowers "Congratulations."
"Ah thanks Nicky." I said gratefully.
"Anyway this is only a flying visit, my phone numbers in with the flowers. I hope to see you and Chris soon for a proper catch up." Nicky said smiling.
"See you soon." I said smiling back.
Nicky left and I skated back over to Chris.
"I love you." he said as he wrapped his arms around my waist.
"I love you too. Thanks for today babe its been amazing." I said snuggling into him.
"Anything for my girl." He responded kissing my forehead
The next day I woke up back at home lying next to Chris. I remembered how amazing the previous night was. I couldn't wait until the wedding day but most of all I couldn't wait to become Mrs Dean.
