The next-day was Chris, Karen and Jayne's day-off, so Karen had just about managed to convince Chris that they should spend some-time doing their wedding-planning. Karen wanted the perfect wedding-day, whereas Chris was quite happy just to be marrying the woman of his dreams.....He wasn't fussed about all of the expensive stuff even-though they could quite-easily afford-it. "So who are you gonna ask to be your best-man then?!" Karen asked Chris, and he laughed. "Ohhh, why can't Jayne be a man....." Chris moaned. "Uh, darlin' if Jayne was a man then you wouldn't be an Olympic Gold Medalist would you now?!" Karen joked with him and Chris agreed with a nod of the head. "That's true....." He trailed-off. "Oh I don't know Karen.....I haven't even-spoken to Nicky in years.....And well there's always Jayne's husband, Phil.....He's a really good-mate.....But is he my best-mate?!" Chris questioned himself when suddenly Karen blurted-something-out. "What about the Schofe?!" She suggested sweetly and Chris smiled at her. "Karen that's genius!" He joked. Karen smiled at him. "So your gonna have Philip Schofield as your best-man?!" She giggled. "Well I'll ask him to be yeah....." Chris trailed-off. "Who's gonna be your Maid of Honour then Kaz?!" Chris then asked. "Oh well that's easy, it's gonna be Jayne of-course!" Karen said very matter-of-factly. "I was hoping you'd say that!" Chris told Karen happily. "Well she's not only my best-mate, she's yours too, so I couldn't not ask her really.....Plus I don't think she'd ever forgive-me....." Karen joked and Chris chuckled. "Yeah that's true." He replied.
Later-on that day, the happily engaged couple decided to go for a walk together along the High-Street. Karen had her arm around Chris' waist, and Chris rested his arm around Karen's shoulders so that his hand hung over her far-shoulder so that Karen could grip onto-it with her spare hand. "I love you ya know Chris?!" She told him happily. "I know you do." He replied cheekily. "Oy you didn't say I love you too!" She said, playfully leaning-over and hitting his chest. When Chris just laughed Karen decided to pretend to be annoyed with him, moving herself away from him so that they were not touching anymore. Chris tried to bring Karen back near to him and Karen just giggled cheekily as she pushed-him away from her. "No! Not until you say I love you back." She said in mock-annoyance but she just couldn't hold in the laughter. "But I need a cuddle!" Chris moaned. "Well when you say those three-words you can have one!" Karen giggled as she walked-forwards ahead of Chris. They walked separated like this for a couple fo minutes, and Karen was beginning to wonder when Chris would give-up the joke. Eventually, after around 5 Minutes of silent and separated walking between the pair of them, Chris ran-up behind Karen and wrapped his strong arms tightly around-her from behind. "We're getting married. Of-Course I love you." Chris said as he kissed Karen's cheek. Karen then turned-around to face Chris with a relieved smile on her face as she hugged him tightly. "Christopher Dean I was just beginnging to get worried just then!" Karen said with a pathetic-laugh. "Awww well I'm sorry. Well what would make you feel better?!" Chris asked sweetly. Karen thought for a minute or tow before replying to Chris. "This Would." Karen said as she gave-Chris a long and meaningful kiss on the lips. "There. All better." Karen said as she drew away from Chris.
Just as the kiss finished, Chris couldn't keep his eyes off Karen, but in the corner of his eye, he spotted a little-boy, who looked-around 7/8 Years-Old, run-out into the road just as a car was coming towards him at speed. Before Karen even knew what was happening, Chris had ran-off at full-pelt, dived infront of the boy and tackled him out of the way of the car onto the pavement on the other-side of the road. The car stopped and the driver got-out in a panic. "Oh my gosh are you both okay?!" The driver asked-worriedly. Up until now, Karen hd pretty-much frozen on the spot because of all the action that jsut happened. Eventually, she snapped-put of her frozen-like-state and ran-over to Chris and the little-boy, who were still on the ground. "Chris are you alright? Is the littlen okay?!" Karen asked in a panic as she crouched-down next to them both. Chris slowly sat-up as he looked-down at the boy. "Are you alright mate?!" Chris asked as the little-boy sat-up in floods of tears. "Where are your parents little-guy?!" Chris asked, and the little-boy pointed-over to them, they were running-over to Chris. "Thank-You for saving our little-boy!" The mother said gratefully as the boy ran into his Father's arms and was picked-up by him. "Yeah thanks mate!" The Father added-on thankfully, they were all still in shock but full of relief that the little-boy was going to be okay. "It's alright....." Chris trailed-off, still sat on the gound and still out of breath. Karen placed her hand on Chris' cheek. "Are you okay?!" She asked-him tearfully. Chris looked-at Karen. "I'm fine, just fine." He replied before he then noticed that there was blood coming-through his jeans. Karen helped-him to roll his jeans-up so that they could see his knee which was bleeding. "It's only a graze. It's nothing.....Jayne's skates have done a lot-worse to me!" Chris joked as Karen helped-him to stand-up. The boy had convinced his Parents to walk back-over to Chris so that he could hug his Hero. "Thanks for saving-me!" The little-boy said happily. "That's alright mate. Just don't go doing-it again anytime soon okay?!" Chris told-him and the little-boy nodded before the parents led-him-away to get-him home.
"And you, SuperDeano, can stop giving-me heart-attacks like that! I thought I'd lost you forever for a moment there!" Karen told-him-off but in a sweet kind-of a way. "Well what was I supposed to do.....I'd want someone to save them if it was Jack or Sam in the middle-of-that-road. Karen sighed. "Ah.....so that's what this is all-about....." Karen trailed-off. "What do you mean?!" Chris asked, ever-so-slightly confused-now. "If you hadn't of sent your boys-off back to America yesterday, then you probably wouldn't have even noticed that kid would you?!" Karen told-him truthfully and she was right. Chris sighed as he looked-down sadly. "Probably Not No.....But if me missing my boys meant that-that little-kid is still-alive then that's no bad-thing Karen!" Chris told-her fairly firmly. "Of-Course it's not a bad-thing sweetheart, I'm so proud of you that you managed to save that little-boy and that he's walked-away from-it unscathed.....But I just don't want you to miss your boys anymore than I know you already do. That's all Chris." Karen told-him sweetly as she gently moved-her-hand-up to stroke-his-cheek in a soothing-manner. "Hey.....It's SuperDeano to you!" Chris joked and Karen playfully slapped-him on the arm. "But thank-you....." He added-on to the end of that sentence. "For what?" Karn asked. "For caring so-much about-me when you really-don't have too....." Chris told-her truthfully. "Hey, I'm your girlfriend, Mister SuperDeano! I'm your Fiance! Of-Course I'm gonna care about-you!" Karen replied to Chris before kissing-him on the lips. "Now let's get home and sort your knee out shall-we?!" Karen suggested before Chris nodded-in reply with a gentle-smile at the cute-couple headed-home together, Chris limping slightly from his bleeding-knee, but he had a smile on his face, along with Karen, none-the-less.

The rest of their day-off whizzed by and when they got onto the ice-rink the next-morning, Karen rushed-over to Jayne to tell-her what had happened with Chris on the day before. "Oh my gosh! So are Chris and the boy both okay then?!" Jayne asked worriedly. "Yeah they're both fine.....I mean.....Chris hurt his knee a bit but it's nothing serious....." Karen trailed-off as Chris skated-over to them. "I hear that you've been a bit of a hero Mister!" Jayne said to Chris as she greeted him with open-arms and then hugged him tightly. "Ohhhh it was nothing....." Chris trailed-off. "It was hardly nothing mate!" Dan said as he skated-over to the three of them, showing Chris the news article about-it in the local-paper which read 'Dean skates on thin ice as he rescuses 7 Year Old Boy!' "Awww look sweetheart it got into the papers! I'm glad they didn't mention the SuperDeano bit!" Karen joked with Chris as she cuddled-up to him. Jayne burst into fits of laughter as Karen finished speaking. "SUPERDeano?!?!?! Oh Dear Kaz!" Jayne giggled at Karen's cheesiness. "What?! I thought he deserved a proper Superhero Nickname!" Karen replied to Jayne as she too laughed.
It was props week in training, and Chris was determined to get back performing for this Sunday, so he had just come-out of physio ready to start rehearsing with Jayne in hope that by Sunday, Sharon would give-him the all-clear to be able to perform! "Hey my darlin' how was physio?!" Karen asked-him sweetly as he stepped onto the ice-rink. "Painful....." He answered quietly. "Oh?! You poor thing. Well hopefully you won't have too long left of it now sweetheart!" Karen said as she approached-him and then hugged-him, snuggling her head into his chest as she did-so. "Where's Jayne?!" Chris asked Karen randomly. "She has just popped to the loo. She'll be back in a minute." Karen replied and then paused for a couple of seconds before she then spoke once-again. "Ooo Christopher Dean you're nice and warm!" She said happily as she squeezed-him tightly to warm herself slightly. "Are you cold?!" Chris questioned-her and she nodded-into his chest. "Then why didn't you say so?!" Chris asked as he un-zipped his hoodie and then put it around Karen's shoulders for her to put-on. "Oh Chris.....Nooo.....You'll freeze without this on! I'm always cold you know that!" Karen moaned and Chris just smiled at her. "I'll be fine, we're gonna be skating in a minute anyway, I'll warm-up then!" Chris replied to her happily.
Jayne had soon returned from the loo's and they were getting-on with their routine for Sunday. A few-moves had to be adjusted ever-so slightly to accomodate Chris' injured-shoulder, but the rehearsal seemed to be going really well overall. Karen watched as they skated through-it all the way through for the first-time and was smiling at them all the way through. They were throwing, juggling and passing-around all sorts of props, chairs, hats, walking-sticks.....Which just left Karen in pure-awe of them both. They were so amazing. As the routine came to a finish Karen just laughed slightly. "How the heck did you two just manage to do that?!" Karen asked-them as they both got their breath-back. There was a moment's silence as Jayne and Chris tried to breathe again before they both came-out with "It was just pure-luck!" Both exactly at the same-time as each-other which made the group of alll three of them laugh.
Later-on that day, they were waiting for the next partnership to arrive for the chorography of their routine this-week and Chris was beginning to get frustrated with them because they seemed to be running-late. As Chris sat himself down onto the rink-side bench in a huff, Karen came and sat-down next to him, placing her hand onto his arm. "Calm-Down sweetheart they'll be here in a second or three I promise you....." Karen tried-to-reassure Chris as she noticed that Chris was shivering. "Oh my darlin' you look freezing! Here have your hoodie back!" Karen told Chris as she removed his hoodie and then handed-it back to him. "It looks like a tent on me anyway!" She giggled as he put the hoodie back-on. "Hmmm, it looks much-better-on-you than it did on me!" Karen complimented Chris and he smiled-sweetly at her. "Why thank-you baby!" Chris replied happily. "Anytime....." Karen trailed-off as she met her lips with Chris' to distract-him from looking-at the time once-again. The kiss became long and passionate, so much so, that if Jayne hadn't of dropped the prop-hat onto the floor, then they probably wouldn't have noticed-her!
Just a short fill-in chapter so I can move-things along ready for "The Sunday Show" in the next-post!
Disclaimer: I don't own anyone or mean to cause any harm! I'm just having-fun!
Sunday had arrived before the three of them knew-it and it was almsot show-time. Chris was waiting with Jayne in the wings ready to skate on with her for the first-time in weeks. He suddenly found himself thinking back to the fall, and then everything that had happened with Stephen, and truth be told these thoughts freaked Chris out a bit, but Jayne knew him well-enough for Chris not to have to say anything, she already knew just by the very-look in his eyes at that moment. Squeezing his hand ever-so gently, Jayne caught Chris' attention. "We'll be alright ya know.....This is our best-routine yet!" Jayne told him positively. "I know.....I'm just a bit nervous that's all....." Chris trailed-off quietly. "But they're good-nerves right?!" Jayne double-checked with him. "I hope so....." He replied worriedly. "You'll be fine." She re-assured-him just as their names were announced and they skated onto the ice together to begin their opening-routine.
As the routine finished, the applause from the audience roared through the building and Karen started a massive standing-ovation for the pair of them. She was so proud of both Chris and Jayne. Jayne managed to catch Karen's eye as they turned to face the other-side of the audience and to bow, and a little-smile from Jayne told Karen that Chris was alright, and she was relieved, no-more injuries to have to deal with for the time-being. The show whizzed-by after that and it had soon finished. Karen met both Jayne and Chris backstage. She ran-over to her fiance and hugged-him tightly. "YOU DID IT!" She screamed, but it was muffled as she buried her face into Chris' chest. Chris sighed a sigh of complete and utter relief. "Yeah we got through it in the end didn't we Jayne?!" Chris joked happily. "Yeah we did, that was the best that we've ever skated that routine.....So well-done!" Jayne told Chris excitably before she wandered to off to speak to Christine and Phil, leaving Chris and Karen to celebrate alone-together.
"I'm so proud of you Christopher Dean!" Karen told Chris as they headed-towards his dressing-room together. Just as they reached the door to Chris' dressing-room, he was trying to find his keys, but Karen had other-things on her mind. She gently pushed Chris against the wall and then placed one of her hands onto the back of his neck before leaning-up and kissing him passionately. "Karen....." He began, speaking inbetween kissing. "I need to.....Keys." He said, unable to get the whole of the sentence out because of Karen's intense kissing. Karen eventually pulled-away and allowed Chris to open the door, but the minute he got through the door Karen tried to kiss him again, but Chris plucked-up the courage to reject her this-time-around. "No baby we're gonna be late for wine-club if I don't get changed soon!" He tried to make-up excuses but Karen was having none of it. "Oh I think we can miss wine-club just this once.....Don't you sweetheart?! After-all it is a special-occasion?!" She asked Chris seductively. "All the more reason why we should go to wine-club.....People will just gossip otherwise....." Chris trailed-off, but it was obvious that he was beign slowly persuaded-over by Karen's overly-flirtatious manner this-evening. "Let them gossip.....I want some time-alone with my fiance....." Karen said as she kissed-him passionately once-again, this time trying to push him down onto the sofa, but failing this-time-around. "Karen!" Chris laughed quite loudly. "I need to get changed!"
Chris eventually got his own-way and the pair of them had soon arrived at wine-club. They sat on the sofa in Jayne's dressing-room together, practically on-top of each-other, with Jayne sat on a chair opposite, and Robin Cousins, Philip Schofield and Dan Whiston all sat in various places-aroumd the room. As more and more wine was drunk, the conversations became more and more pointless and to be quite honest, Karen was beginning to get bored. "Can we sneak-off dya think?!" She asked Chris. "Are you as bored as I am then?!" Chris replied. "Oh thank-goodness you'e bored too! Let's get out of here!" Karen suggested to Chris as she began to tug at his hand but he shook her away. "No we can't leave Jayne by herself with all of this lot.....You know aswell as I do that when Jayne is fiddling with her ear-rings she's bored....." Chris told Karen, catching Jayne's eye and smiling at her as she approached the cute-couple. "You two are looking very cosy this-evening....." Jayne trailed-off. "Yeah.....We were just thinking about making a move actually....." Karen told Jayne truthfully. "Oh were you now?!"....." Jayne replied with a cheeky-smile spread across her lips, raising one-eyebrow at them both. "Jayne Torvill you have one filthy mind!" Chris joked with her as he chuckled at Jayne's comment. "Yeah well it's hard not to think it when you two have been in your own little-worlds all evening with your hands.....Well.....Everywhere!" Jayne giggled at them both. "Oh darn-it, I was trying to be subtle....." Karen said in reply. "Oh Kaz love, I think a Polar Bear in the forest could be more subtle than you have been this-evening!" Jayne Joked. "Anyway Jayne, as we were saying we're off!" Chris said, hugging his best-friend before he then lead Karen out of the room and kissed her passionately and she caught his lips into her own.

Plus. - I don't know if Chris' Mum & Step-Mum are still alive or not. So no offence to Chris whether they are or not. But for the sake of this fic they are both still alive.
On Monday, over their lunchbreak, Karen was bothering Chris again about the Wedding. As much as Chris wanted to marry Karen, he was in no-rush, not until this series of Dancing On Ice was over and the tour had finished anyway, so he was getting slightly tired of Karen's constant nagging about it. "So lovely, what about the guest list then?!" Karen asked Chris as they sat in Chris' dressing-room together, along with Jayne. "Well have you asked Jayne?!" Chris asked with a fed-up sigh. "Has she asked Jayne what?!" Jayne asked with a little-giggle, she loved the fact that her two-best-friends in the whole wide world were going to get married! "Well.....I was wondering how you'd feel about being my maid of honour?!" Karen asked her sweetly and Jayne squealed with delight. "EEE YES OF-COURSE I WILL!" She screamed excitedly as sh hugged Karen and then kissed her on the cheek. "Yay! Thank-You!" Karen replied-back. "You still need to ask Phil, Chris!" Karen poked-him and CHris sighed. "I know I do....." He trailed-off, he really couldn't be bothered with this right-now. "What as in my Phil?!" Jayne asked slightly confused, she knew that Chris & Phil had always been friends, but her husband was hardly Chris' best-man material. "No Phil Schofield Jayne." Chris corrected her and Jayne smiled at him in slight-relief. "Oh, well that's great I'm pleased for you!" Jayne told them both happily.
The conversation continued about the guest-list and Chris was jsut getting more and more bored by the minute by Karen and Jayne's girly 'Wedding Talk.' "Oh darlin' what about your Mum and Step-Mum?!" Karen asked. "Hah. Who'd have them int he same-room together? Karen are you crazy?!" Chris replied with a slightly nervous-chuckle, trying to shrug the question off as a joke. "No Chris. I'm serious, my parents and family are gonna be there, do you not want yours there?!" Karen asked-him worriedly. "Kaz, the only family I want at my Wedding is my boys....." Chris trailed-off shyly. "Chris can I have a word?!" Jayne asked as she pulled-him out of the room for a second. "Listen sweets, I can understand you not wanting your real-Mother there.....But you always got along with Betty.....Why don't you want her there?!" Jayne questioned-him, she knew him well and this was unlike Chris. "Because if I invite one then Karen will want to know why I don't want to invite the other, and I'm just not ready to go there yet.....And then I'll end-up having both of them there when my actual Mum is the last person I want to see, she abandoned me and my Dad, why should she be at my Wedding?!" Chris replied to Jayne uncomfortably. "Alright, well it's up to you I suppose, but Betty's always been great with you.....She's always been great with me!" Jayne told-him with a small-giggle. "I suppose-so....." Chris trailed-off before heading back in the room, with Jayne following-closely behind-him.
"Oh so you've finished having your private little-chat now have you?!" Karen asked harshly. "Don't be like that Karen." Chris said a little irritably. "Me n Chris just needed to chat, that's all Karen." Jayne explained calmly. "Yeah well, I'm his fiance, maybe he could open-up to me once in a while.....I mean, I understand that you two are the closest of friends.....And I'm not stopping you from opening-up to Jayne, Chris, but you need to talk to me too if something's bothering-you!" Karen said with a hint of suppressed-anger in the tone of her voice. "Yeah well I chose not to talk to you this-time.....Alright?!" Chris replied angrily. "Okay you two, easy now." Jayne intervened, trying to control the heated situation before the couple were at each-others throats and said or did something that they would both later regret. "No Jayne, not 'easy now' if Chris is gonna marry-me then he needs to tell-me everything that's bothering-him! What is it, do you not trust-me or something Chris?! Is that what it is?!" Karen questioned and Chris shook his head. "Then what?! What is it Chris? Do you not WANT TO MARRY ME?!" She eventually screamed. "ENOUGH KAREN!" Chris shouted-back before storming out of the room and slamming the door behind-him as Karen burst into floods of tears, leaving Jayne to hug-her and comfort-her. "What if doesn't want to marry me anymore Jayne?!" Karen cried. "Oh my darling I'm sure he does. He was just getting himself worked-up that's all." Jayne began to explain. "Listen Karen. - Chris never really knew his Mum, she left when he was just 6.....They got back in touch years later, but things have never really been the same ever-since, he still doesn't understand why she left in the first-place....." Jayne explained and Karen began to understand why Chris becme so funny when she began to mention his parents.
Back in training, Chris still hadn't returned. And then later-that evening, Chris wasn't at their place, and he wasn't at Jayne, so Karen was beginning to get worried about him. He'd left in a t-shirt and jeans with nothing-else on him, he didn't even have his phone, his wallet, or his keys on him and it was tipping it down with rain and it was getting pretty-dark now. Where was he?! At around 10pm, Karen decided to ring Jayne. "Still no sign of him?!" Jayne asked Karen worriedly. "No....." Karen trailed-off tearfully. "Well give-it another hour, and if he has still not turned-up, then I'll come-on-over and we'll call the police okay?!" Jayne suggested to Karen and she agreed with her. "Yeah okay.....That sounds like a plan....." Karen replied. "Alright then. You'll let-me know if he does turn-up before then won't you?!" Jayne asked. "Of-Course I will Jayne." Karen responded.
It was almost 11pm now, and Karen was jsut getting ready to ring jayne to tell-her to come-on over when there was a knock at the door. Kren practically ran to the door and wa relieved to open the door to Chris. He was soaking wet and was crying his eyes out. "I'm sorry." He said, and Karen didn't even reply she just hugged-him tightly, pulling-him indoors from the rain as she continued to just hold-onto him for around the next 5-10 Minutes or so. Eventually, she pulled-away and placed her hand onto his cheek. "I'm sorry too. Jayne explained everything once you had gone. Now come-on, you're freezing, let's get you dry and warm." Karen told-him, sending him upstairs to get changed before making him lie on the sofa, wrapped in a soft-blanket as he warmed himself-up. "I just need to let Jayne know that you're back." Karen told Chris, leaning-down and kissing the top of his head before wandering-off to ring Jayne. Once she had told Jayne the good-news, Karen joined Chris on the sofa and snuggled-up to him. "Are we okay now?!" She asked-him softly. Chris turned his head to face Karen and sighed sweetly. "I wouldn't be marrying you if we weren't." Chris confirmed to Karen and she just smiled at him. "You mean you still want to get married?" Karen asked-Chris and he nodded at her. "Oh Chris I Love You!" Karen said as she pounced on him, pinning-him down onto the sofa and smothering-him with kisses. "I Love You Too Karen!" Chris replied happily as they continued to kiss each-other.

The next morning, Chris rolled-over to find an empty space next to him in the bed. He wondered where Karen had gotten too, so after a yawn and a stretch, Chris forced himself to get out of bed and go downstairs. He found Karen in the kitchen faced towards the sink so she didn't see Chris enter. Chris quietly walked-up behind Karen and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, his hands resting against her stomach as he kissed her on the cheek. "Oh hello you." Karen greeted-him with as she turned-around to face Chris with a mug of coffee in one hand and a plate of toast in the other. "What are you doing up so early? I was going-to bring you breakfast in bed." Karen told Chris sweetly as he took the mug and plate from her and then put-it onto the kithen side. "Awww thank-you, but I'm up now anyway." Chris replied as he put his hands against Karen's waist and then leaned-in to kiss her on the lips. He then took the mug and plate into his hands once-again and then headed-into the living-room with them, and Karen followed-him. "How are you feeling this morning then sweetheart?!" Karen asked-him and Chris sighed as he sat-down onto the sofa. "I don't know yet.....I'm still confused.....I don't know what to do.....This wedding is probably gonna be all over the papers anyway, and I don't want my actual Mum finding-out that we got married and didn't even bother inviting her to the service.....But then again I don't really want her there....." Chris trailed-off sadly. "Well my darlin', it is completely up to you okay? I just don't want you to regret not having your family there.....Alright?" Karen told Chris softly as she snuggled-into him. "I know that Kaz, and thank-you.....But I'll have my family there.....My boys are gonna be there, and I think I'm going to invite Tee after-all.....Family are the people who will love you no-matter what happens.....And that's not my Mum.....She wouldn't have abandoned me other-wise.....Other split-up families manage to let the kids see both of their parents.....Why wasn't that the case with me?! Why did she have to just run-away like that?!" Chris asked, almost angry about his childhood. "Hey come-on sweets, I know it must've been hard for you, but she must have had her reasons....." "Yeah she didn't love-me....." Chris interupted Karen sadly. "No. Chris come-on your a parent, you know that you love that kid no-matter what, you spend a lot of time on the other-side of the world to them, but you still get to see them.....Your Mum rarely gets to see you....." "Yeah and who's fault is that?!" "Hers, yeah I agree, but that doesn't mean that she doesn't miss you and love you my lovely." Karne tried to explain to Chris calmly.
The couple eventually arrived at the training-rink, Jayne was already there which was surprising to Chris and Karen. Jayne was never-early. When she first saw Chris she skated-over to him and hugged-him tightly. "Hello You. My goodness you had us worried last-night Chris!" Jayne told-him sweetly as she released-him from the hug. "Yeah well I'm sorry about that okay?!" Chris replied distantly before skating around the rink a couple of times by himself. "Is he alright?!" Jayne asked Karen as they watched-him effortlessly skate-around the ice. "He's better than he was yesterday.....He said this morning that he's thinking of inviting Tee to the wedding-now....." Karen trailed-off quietly. "Well that's good." Jayne replied. "Yeah.....I'm still worried about-him though Jayne.....He's just not been himself all-morning.....Even-now he's on the ice.....I can see that he's just not himself.....Can you see it too Jayne?!" Karen asked Jayne worriedly. "Yeah I think I can....." Jayne replied to Karen as they watched Chris pull his phone out of his pocket and then skate-off the ice and then out of the rink.....
Chris: Hello?
Person: Hello Chris.
Chris: Sorry but who is this?!
Person: It's your Mother Chris.....
Chris: Mum?!
Chris' Mother: Yeah, listen can we meet for a coffee?!
Chris: This is the first-time you've contacted me since Dancing On Ice started back in 2006 and it's only now that you want to meet-up for a catch-up?!
Chris' Mother: I'm sorry Chris, I've been a coward.....But I heard about yours and Karen's engagement? And I wanted to congratulate you in person.....My little-boy all grown-up.....
Chris: I'm not your little-boy.....I'm Tee's little-boy.....She's the one who brought-me up to be who I am today, she's the reason I ever met Karen in the first-place.....
Chris' Mother: Okay, well ring me when you want to talk then Chris.....
Chris: I doubt that will ever happen.....
Chris' Mother: Please Chris jsut think-about-it.....And Chris.....
Chris: What?!
Chris' Mother: I love you.
And with that Chris sighed-angrily and then ended-the-call as he made his way back to the rink. "Who was that on the phone-sweetheart?!" Karen asked, noticing that Chris looked-angrily. Chris took a deep-breath-in, he wasn't going-to let-himself take this all out on Karen-once-again. "It was my Mum.....She wanted to meet.....I told her in the politest way possible to get-stuffed.....She tried being all emotional.....Honestly Kaz she sounded like one of those sob-stories from the X-Factor....." Chris trailed-off angrily, but Karen couldn't help but giggle at what Chris had just said. "What's so funny?!" Chris asked her sweetly. "You Are. Have you listened to yourself recently Mr Dean?!" Karen joked with him, which did make Chris smile for a change. "Ah it's good to see you smiling....." Karen said as she leaned-up to kiss him affectionately. "Everything will be okay in the end sweetheart, just you wait and see....." Karen told Chris as she wiped some her lipstick away from Chris' lips and giggled slightly as she snugged her head into his chest and hugged-him tightly as Chris rested his chin onto the top of Karen's head.
Gonna update tonight hopefully. Can I just ask, how do you move a fiction into the completed section?! Don't worry this fic is nowhere near finished! I just want to know for when the time comes.

That afternoon was pretty much taken-up with training, so Chris' mind was taken-off-of the phone-call which Karen was glad and relieved about, it meant that for just a short-space of time, she had the original Chris back, and not the angry and confused Chris. - Who was all she seemed to be seeing at the moment. Karen observed-in admiration of Chris as she watched-him work with Jayne. This was the Chris that she had fallen in love with in the first-place. The crazy Chris who didn't have a care in the world, as-long as he was skating. The Chris who was currently showing Jorgie a very sexy move on the ice which Karen couldn't help but laugh out loud at, along with Jayne, Jorgie and Matt, who were all in fits of laughter by this point because of what Chris was doing. Karen skated-over to them-all. "Jayne.....Why am I marrying this bloke again?!" Karen joked with Jayne as Chris suddenly snapped out of the trance and then skated-over to Karen as Jorgie tried out the sexy-move a couple of times. Chris gave Karen a peck on the lips before smiling at her sweetly and then turning-around to see how Jorgie was doing. "That's Why!" Jayne said with a cute-smile.
Just seconds after stepping off-of the ice after training had finished, Chris was back to the angry and confused version of him. Karen had barely taken her skates-off, and was sat on the bench at the edge of the rink, when Chris brought-up the subject of his Mother once-again. "Karen I don't know what to do about my Mum....." Chris stated to Karen impatiently. "My darlin' give yourself some-time to think-about-it ey?!" Karen suggested to him softly. "Kaz is right Chris.....Give it time." Jayne told-him sweetly. "Anyway, I'm off. I'll see you tomorrow Chris, Kaz....." Jayne said hugging Kaz and then kissing Chris on the cheek before heading-home. "Bye Jayne." Both Chris and Karen said at exactly the same-time. "But if I can't even speak to her on the phone without beign rude to her, then how am I gonna manage if I meet-her for a coffee?!" Chris asked bluntly. Karen stood-up and faced Chris, placing her hands against his chest. "Chris, sweetheart. Calm-Down. Let's go home ey? We can have a little-cuddle, watch Coronation Street, and then we can talk-about this once you've calmed-down!" Karen told-him fairly firmly, but also with soft-hints to it aswell. Chris sighed in disagreement, but he went along with-it anyway, it wasn't like he was going-to-have much-of a choice.
When the couple got home, Karen was just beginning to get fed-up of Chris' constant-moaning. He hadn't stopped wittering-on all the way-home and it was beginning to get a bit irritating for Karen. She knew that he was having a rough-time of it at the moment, and she understood-that, but he didn't seem to be listening to a word that she was saying. She had tried to advise him over his Mother, she had tried telling-him to calm-down and to go-away and think-about-it. But her words were having no-affect on Chris whatsoever. And this frustrated-her. She only wanted the best for her fiance, but he jsut wasn't listening to her! "Do you think I should meet-her and remind-her that she abaonded me and my Dad?! And that she doesn't deserve to be invited to the Wedding?!" Chris asked once-again. "Chris, I answered this in the car, you need to talk things-over with your Mum, not upset her or anger her in anyway!" Karen repeated for about the third time since training had finished earlier-on thqt-qfternoon. "Alright, no-need to be stroppy! I just want your opinion that's all!" Chris replied. "Oh Chris I don't mean to be stroppy!" She began a little more calmly. "But I've answered all of these questions before.....You need to do what You think is the right-thing to do Chris! I can't make this decision for you.....She's your Mum. And she's your family. And to put it bluntly sweetheart, that kind-of makes her your problem....." Karen trailed-off sadly. "Well thanks for your over-whelming support Karen....." Chris said with a calm-anger as he walked-away from Karen. "Oh Chris!" Karen chased after-him and then eventually worked her way infront of him. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have put-it like that. What I was meant to say was that I don't know your Mum aswell as you do.....No-One does, not even Jayne this-time. Only you know how you felt when she abandoned you. And only you know how you truly-feel now sweetheart. And that's why it's gotta be your decision." Karen told Chris as she cupped his face with her hands. "I know.....I'm sorry." Chris replied with a tired-sigh as he leaned-down to hug Karen tightly whilst she wrapped her arms around his shoulders and tried to comfort-him.
As they released the hug, Chris yawned a long yawn and closed his eyes for a brief-moment, before he then opened them again and rubbed-them slightly, as if he was trying his best to keep himself awake. "Oh Chris my love, you're exhausted. Why don't you have an early night ey? Sleep on it, and then have a re-think in the morning. You can't think properly when your tired and aching after a long-day. You need a goodnight's sleep." Karen told-him in a Motherly fashion before she took Chris' hand and walked a few-steps forwards, her hand still inked with his as she turned her head-back to face-him. "Come-On Gorgeous." Karen whispered to him sympathetically and he soon followed her up the stairs.
Led in bed, Karen refused to fall-asleep before Chris was firmly snoozing and dreaming. When he finally fell-asleep, Karen leaned-over to him and kissed him on the forehead. "I Love You Christopher Dean." She whispered to him, before she then snuggled-into the side of Chris, and then finally fell into a deep-sleep herself.

Chris awoke the next morning feeling much more refreshed than he had done in the days previously. He had actually slept properly for a start. - Which was always a good-thing when it came to Chris. He got himself washed and dressed and then disappeared downstairs whilst Karen slept and then a couple of minutes later, he re-appeared with tea ane toast. Chris put the plate and mug down before gently shaking Karen. "Wake-Up Baby." He whispered to her and she eventually opened her eyes and smiled at Chris, turning to face-him and out-stretching her arm so she could place her hand against Chris' cheek. "Good Morning My Darling." She said tiredly. "Hey." He replied, leaning-down and placing one of the softest kisses onto Karen's lips before he then handed her the tea and toast. "What have I done to deserve breakfast in bed then Mister?!" Karen asked Chris as she sat-up and took a bite into her toast. "Because I've been a nightmare boyfriend recently, and I just wanted to say sorry, and then make-it up to you as much as I pssibly can." Chris told Karen truthfully. "Oh Chris you haven't been a nightmare boyfriend.....You've had a lot to deal with....." "And so have you." Chris interupted her and she just smiled at her. "Come and get back into bed." Karen suggested to him gently. "No I'm already dressed-now." Chris replied as he stood-over Karen, who was putting her tea and toast-down onto the bedside cabinet. "I don't care." She whispered cheekily to Chris as she grasped at his t-shirt and then yanked-him down towards her face for a passionate-kiss, but Chris pulled-away shortly after the kissing had begun with a little-giggle. "Sorry baby. Later-on." He suggested but Karen grabbed his hand before he could walk-away again as she pulled-him back close to her. "Chris come-on. You need to relax.....Just for 5 Minutes.....Please? Just for me? Your Fiance?!" Karen said, pulling her best puppy-face at Chris, which she knew that Chris could-never resist. Chris just sighed. "Oh Okay Then. But just for 5 Minutes!" Chris said as he climbed-over Karen and then settled-himself-down onto the other-side of the bed before the pair began to cuddle and kiss each-other lovingly.
Half-an-hour later and Chris had fallen-asleep. "So much for 5 Minutes....." Karen said to herself as she tried to escape the strong clutches of Chris' muscular-arms without waking-him-up. Eventually, she managed to free-herself from a snoozing Chris and then headed-downstairs, where Chris' mobile was ringing so she answered-it. "Hello?!" She said as it was an unknown-number. "Hello, is that Karen?" The voice asked. "Yes.....Who is this?!" She questioned suspiciously at the female-voice. "Oh hello Karen.....It's Mavis.....Chris' Mother....." Mavis trailed-off. "Oh! Hello? Were you after Chris? Because I'm afraid he's literally just in the past couple of minutes fallen-back-asleep.....Anyway, speaking of Chris, I'm not sure he'd want me talking to you when he doesn't even want to talk you himself....." Karen explained as nicely and as politely as possible. "Oh please Karen just give-me the benefit of the doubt. I know that Chris hates-me, and he's probably told-you that I'm a horrible-Mother for abandoning-him when he just so young.....But please Karen.....Just give-me a chance.....Just let-me prove to you how much I love Chris....." Mavis practically begged Karen. "What are you trying to ask-me Mavis?!" Karen asked-her, slightly-confused by her right at that very-moment. "Come and meet-me.....Bring Chris with you if you want.....Please Karen?!" Mavis continued to beg. "No. I'm sorry Mavis but Chris will never agree to it, and if I meet-you without telling Chris then he'll hit the roof, and I won't fall-out with Chris because of you." Karen replied, a little more firmly this-time. "But Karen....." "I said NO!..........Listen I'll try and talk Chris around to the idea okay?! But I'm not promising anything.....Goodbye." Karen said before she then put the phone-down and then sighed frustratedly.
"Who were you on the phone too just now then?!" Chris asked as he appeared at the bottom of the stair-case. "Oh Hello You.....Did you have a nice-little-sleep? And we need to talk about that....." Karen told Chris truthfully. "Yeah it was good.....And what do you mean we need to talk Baby?!" Chris asked worriedly as she walked-over to Karen and placed his hands against her waist. Karen sighed as she took a deep-breath-in and then out again. "Your Mother Called.....She wants us to meet-up with her....." Karen revealed to Chris truthfully. Chris looked-down sadly. "Feeling lucky was she? Well it's not gonna happen Karen....." Chris said as he walked-off. "It's never gonna happen!" He said as he sat-down onto the sofa. Karen sighed with sadness and then went and sat-down next to him on the sofa. "I said I'd try to talk you around....." She trailed-off. "Yeah well you tell-her that you tried but with no-luck okay?! I don't want to see her, and I definitely don't want her at our wedding....." Chris tod Karen angrily. "Okay.....Just try and stay calm okay sweetheart? Like I said, she's your family, if you don't want her at our wedding, then that's up to you, but she sounded really desperate to see you Chris.....And she wants to meet-me aswell....." Chris just sighed in response as he stood-up. "I'm going for a run.....I'll be back in about an hour....." He said before he then left the house.
When Chris had gone, Karen gotr Mavis' number off-of Chris' phone and then text her from her own-phone.
Karen: It's Karen. Let's meet soon.
Mavis: Did Chris agree?
Karen: It'll just be me.
Mavis: I suppose that's a start.....
Karen: Yeah.....
Karen felt bad going behind Chris' back, but she was desperate to give his Mother a chance to prove herself to them.

Karen was meeting Chris' Mother, Mavis, in Starbucks, the following afternoon, she figured that Chris would be hard at work choreographing with Jayne and all of the other celebrities, so he was unlikely to pop into Starbucks at any point during that afternoon.
Karen was first there, she didn't know what Mavis looked-like, but she figured that Mavis would know what she looked-like, if she had bothered to ever watch Dancing On Ice. Karen felt guilty going behind Chris' back like this, but she knew that they would have to meet at some-point anyway, so it might aswell have been this-afternoon. As Mavis entered the coffee-shop, she instantly recognised Karen. "Karen?! Is that you?!" Mavis asked, just to double-check. This made Karen jump slightly as she looked-up and greeted Chris' biological-Mother with a forced-smile. "Mavis.....Hello....." Karen trailed-off nervously. "Please have a seat....." She continued in the same-manner as before. Mavis sat-down opposite Karen, ever-so-slightly-awkwardly. "Thanks for agreeing to meet-me.....I just wish that Chris would come-around to the idea of meeting-me himself....." Mavis trailed-off sadly. "It's a lot to get his head around Mavis, he doesn't understand why you just abandoned-him like that.....I mean, I know that you two have been in touch-since.....But that doesn't make any difference to Chris.....Tee is still Chris' Mother as far as he is concerned.....And that's not gonna change over-night.....Chris is very-fond of Tee....." Karen told Mavis rather-firmly. "I know, and I'd never ask Chris to call-me his Mother unless Chris ever-wanted too.....Not after what I did to him.....All I want is to see my son before he gets married to the love of his life.....And maybe come to the Wedding if Chris was to agree....." Mavis told Karen quite emotionally, but Karen was struggling to sympathise with her, knowing that she had abandoned her little-boy and his Father all those years-ago.....
Back at the training-rink, Chris couldn't concentrate, Karen wasn't in when he had woken-up this morning and he was worried as to where she had gotten-too. Chris and Jayne were half-way through their routine for Sunday at a part where Jayne was meant to be lifted-up, but Chris wasn't even looking at Jayne to prepare himself for the lift, so Jayne called for the music to be stopped and shook Chris by the shoulders. "Hello?! Earth to Chris. Is anyone at home?!" She said with a little-giggle. Chris shook himself-out of it and then shot a lost-look at Jayne. "What?! Oh I'm sorry.....I'm just wondering where Karen has gotten-too, it's unlike her not to tell-me where she's going-to, that's all....." Chris trailed-off distantly. "Hey I'm sure she'll be back-soon, maybe she needed to do something....." Jayne replied comfortingly. "Yeah....." Chris replied quietly.
"Anyway Karen, I better be going, and Chris will want to know how our little-meeting went anyway, so you better-be getting-back-to-him....." Mavis continued, but Karen had to stop-her from going any-further with that sentence. "Urm.....Mavis.....Umm, I don't know quite-how to put this.....But.....Chris doesn't know that we've met-up today.....It's just that I knew that he'd kick-off if I told-him, so I just kept-it to myself....." Karen trailed-off, suddenly feeling all guilty and nervous again. "Well Karen that probably wasn't the best-decision in the world was it?! But never-the-less, I don't need Chris here to know that you two will make a wonderful-couple.....Look-after my little-boy for-me won't you?!" Mavis told Karen sweetly. "Chris is quite capable of looking-after himself Mavis....." Karen joked with a quiet and nervous giggle. "I know-that.....But.....You know what I mean?!" Mavis said, and before they knew-it, the pair of them were saying their goodbyes and Karen was on her way, heading-towards the ice-rink.
When Karen eventually arrived at the training-rink, Chris skated-over to her and hugged her tightly. "Karen, where have you been?! I was worried about-you!" Chris asked, just relieved to have his fiance back now. "I'm sorry Chris." Karen replied as she hugged-him back, she was a little-bit more tearful now, she hated-herself for going-behind Chris' back-like-that, and now she was lying about-it. "Hey it's okay.....At-least you're here safely. That's all that matters now Karen." Chris said as he gently kissed the top of Karen's head, into her soft-blonde-hair. Karen silently cried into Chris' chest, trying not to reveal her face or be heard by anyone, especially Chris, as she cried her eyes-out. This guilt.....It was all too much for Karen. "Kaz?" Baby? What's Wrong?!" Chris asked as he reliased that Karen was crying really heavily. Karen slowly moved-her head away from Chris' chest and then looked-up at him. She gently placed both of her hands against both of his cheeks and then sniffled-in a few-tears so that she could speak. "I Love You Sweetheart. And I'm Sorry." Karen cried before she then ran-off to her dressing-room.
