*2 hours later* Karen felt a warm pair of arms wrap around her waist "hello darling ... you look stunning ... where's your husband?" a voice said that Karen knew to well and she jumped back "bloody hell what you trying to do to me Chris ... I nearly had a heart attack" "sorry ... where's Nicky ... why are you on your own?" "Nicky is doing my bloody head in" "oh ... why don't you go and sit down over there and I will get us some drinks in" Karen went off to find them a table in the corner of the club where no one could see them and Chris go their drinks he didn't need to ask he knew exactly what Karen drank as they had known each other so long.

*5 minutes later* "thanks" Karen said as Chris passed her, her drink "so what's happening between you and Nicky then?" "oh everything the whole marriage is falling apart ... as much as I love little Kristina and would never do anything to harm her ever since she has been born its as if I don't exist anymore ... he doesn't so much as kiss me, tell me I look beautiful or he loves me ... Kristina gets all his attention 24/7 and I've had enough" "Aww come on it can't be that bad ... have you tired speaking to him and telling him how you feel?" "yes I have ... we had this conversation a few hours ago and all he said was I was a selfish bitch with a cold heart ... I've had enough of it I just want a kiss, a little cuddle he can't even do that ... and the last time we got up to anything the bedroom well was when I became pregnant with Kristina ... I've actually had enough now."


Chris got down from his stool and wrapped his arms around Karen who was still sitting down almost in tears she wrapped her arms around his neck softly resting her head on his shoulder and crying silently but he could feel it through his shirt. The feel of being wrapped up in Chris' arms around Karen made her feel like she finally existed again she actually felt happy after a year of feeling so sad and miserable. He held on to her until she let go of his neck however she didn't instead she pulled Chris into her body even closer than he already was allowing him to stand in between her legs. He took this as his cue to make a move placing a soft kiss on her lips slipping his tongue in between her lips and into her mouth whilst gently moving one hand up her thigh.


"Let's go back to yours" she whispered into his ear and he picked her up off the stool they walked hand in hand down the road to his apartment which was only a 5 minute walk around the corner. "Karen you sure you want to do this" "yes ... come on open the door" for once Karen was actually quite sober so with this Chris took her word for it. Karen made her own way into his bedroom kicking her shoes off and jumping backwards onto the bed "Come here Mr Dean" he didn't dare disobey her and walked over climbing on top of her and she began to undo the buttons on his shirt as he stare into her eyes deeply watching every move she made just undoing the buttons. He then began to stroke her face "you are so beautiful Karen ... seriously you are ... everything about you is perfect ... you're the prettiest thing I've ever seen."


Karen felt so happy, on top of the world even she hadn't heard those words from Nicky In at least a year "make love to me Christopher Dean ... I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you" Chris was quite surprised at by these words and was glad that she had the same feelings he had about her he didn't want this to be just a silly like fling or a one night stand that was never mentioned again, he wanted Karen and Karen wanted him. He began slipping the dress of her then slowly slipped off her lacy thong and reaching behind her back to loosen the clasp on her lacy bra that matched. "You truley are stunning Karen Slater" "no ... no don't call me that please ... I refer myself to Karen Barber now and have done since Kristina was born" "oh sorry I didn't realize" "its okay."


The night went by quickly they showed their love for each other pleasuring and kissing each other in every way possible until they both lay exhausted on the bed next to each other. Karen got up and went to have quick shower while Chris made a cup of tea for them both and locking up, Karen came out of the on suite and grabbed Chris' fluffy dressing gown that hung on the back of the bedroom door and put it on even though it drowned her. She then went out to find him, going up behind and wrapping her arms around his waist "just help yourself to my dressing gown why not ... say I was going to wear that..." he said joking around with her "I was cold" "I'm not surprised you didn't come out wearing very much" "you complaining Mr Christopher Dean" "no darling I don't know how anyone could complain" he just happened to look down "you wearing my socks too" "yes ... I think they are a little big" "well they will be ... I'm 4 sizes bigger than you babe."

Chris carried the cups of tea into his room and Karen followed behind "which side do you prefer to sleep?" "on the same side as you" "oh you one of those clingy ones now Ms Barber" he said joking around with her "no ... it would be nice to have someones arms around you in the night for a change ... since Kristina had been born Nicky has not once slept in the same bed as me" "where does he sleep then?" "in the bed that's in Kristina's room" "oh ... I will cuddle you all night if you want ... will that make you smile again" "yes ... thank you" she replied quietly.

They slipped in underneath the silky satin bed covers Chris dimmed the lights making it have a romantic atmosphere and wrapped his arms around Karen who lay looking up at him "so what are we going to do now then ... do you want to take this relationship further or just leave it be" Chris asked her in a calming tone "I hope you feel the same way as I do Chris ... and I would love to .... rephrase that want to take this relationship further" "I'm so glad you said that ... I've always loved you and you know that Karen ... I was so God damn jealous of Nicky on your wedding day and it killed me to be there ... but I was there to see you" "really?" "yes honestly ... I swear on my life ... anyway come to think of it what are you going to tell Nicky?" "I dunno yet to be honest ... I think just play it by ear at the moment and I will tell him in a few months time when we know this is going to work out defiantly if you don't mind ... and in the mean time we can go out at the weekends and maybe a once during the week" "as longs as you're happy babe I am ... I don't want to feel like I'm pushing you into something" "you're not honestly its just he isn't going to take it too well."


*5 months later* "Karen whats that?" "whats what?" "that on your neck right there" "oh that its nothing ... honestly" Karen tried to walk out the room to go check on Kristina but Nicky grabbed her arm and pulled her back "no its something" he pulled back her hair off her face and neck "its nothing you're making a big fuss over nothing" when Nicky saw what it was he was horrified "Karen ... where did you get a love bite from ... it defiantly wasn't me" "I ... erm ..." she didn't know what to say "you selfish selfish selfish bitch ... you're having an affair aren't you?" "... I ... I...." Nicky' voice got louder and louder "so who is it?" ... Karen wanted to speak but nothing came out "who is it?" "its ... its ...C...C...Chris" she replied in a quiet and shaky voice "what? ... what??? ... as in my best friend Chris ... My best friend Chris" "yessss" "so how longs it been going on for?" "5 ... nearly 6 months" "seriously you're having me on ... you selfish bitch ... I don't know what to say" Kristina started to cry and Karen tried to escape Nicky by going off to her "where you going" "our daughter is crying" "there is no way you're going near her ever again ... now get out of this house" "you can't do that ... she is my baby girl as well" "I think you're find I can darling ... I'm taking this to court and you will never see her again ... well not until she's older and if she wants to see her mother then she can but I don't want her near you in the mean time ... now get out."


Karen ran up the stairs to get her stuff "JUST GET THE STUFF YOU NEED FOR NOW AND I WILL DROP THE STUFF OFF ROUND TOO YOU DURING THE WEEK" Nicky shouted up the stairs, she grabbed all the stuff that was most important to her for now chucking it all in a suitcase trying to hold her tears back as best as she could. "HURRY UP YOU HAVE 5 MINUETS THEN I WANT YOU OUT" he continued ranting on at her, she walked down the stairs couldn't even look at his face she felt ashamed of her self but so happy at the same time. "You're not going anywhere near that child" he pulled her arm back so she couldn't go to Kristina who was sitting in her highchair in the kitchen "please ... just 5 minutes ... then I will go" she sobbed "5 minuets and I'm timing you."


Karen rushed into the kitchen picking Kristina up out of her highchair cuddling her tightly "I'm sorry baby ... I have to go now I'm so sorry ... mummy has done something really stupid and daddy isn't happy ... just remember mummy will always love you no matter what happens" "that's it times up now" Karen broke down in tears she was really going to miss little Kristina but knew it was for the best, as she walked over passing Kristina over to Nicky she kissed her little baby softly on the top of her head "remember mummy always loves you."


*An hour later* There was a knock at the door "Karen, what are you doing here ... I thought you weren't coming over until tomorrow?" "he ... he ... knows" she broke down in tears again on the doorstep "what ... how ... when??? ... come on babe come in and tell me ... he hasn't hurt you has he?" Chris took her suitcase into the bedroom while Karen sat down curled up with her head in her knees on the sofa, he then sat down next to her with wrapping an arm around her shoulder kissing her gently.


"so what happened then?" "he saw the bite on my neck ... I thought I had covered it up and he wouldn't be able to see it" "oh its okay ... as longs as he didn't hurt you" "he didn't not physically but he broke my heart I'm not allowed to see Kristina now until she's older and that's if she will want to see me" "that is harsh ... surely he can't do that" "he can ... he's taking it to court" "but surely not he's not allowed to do that you're her mother" "he is ... I hate to say it but he is ... he is when I'm working he is her full time parent and I'm the one that's done wrong."

"I'm so sorry Karen" he said quietly whilst she was sobbing into his chest "what have you go to be sorry for you've done nothing wrong" "I have ... I've got you into this relationship" "yes and I want to be in it ... it's not your fault please don't blame yourself ... I should have seen it coming ... I love Kristina with all my heart and would never do anything to hurt her ... this is best for her" "I feel really bad ... *20 years later, beginning of October* Karen Barber had now become Karen Dean and will have been married to Chris 10 years in December. They also had 3 daughters Emma and Ella 19 and Ellie-May 18 months. Training for the first series of the new ITV programme Dancing On Ice had began Jayne and Chris were the bosses, Karen was assistant coach with them and also was going to be on the judging panel along side Robin Cousins, Jason Gardiner, Nicky Slater and a guest judge. Karen was unaware of Nicky her ex husband being on the panel with her though so were both Chris and Jayne. The ITV bosses had arranged and organized the show signing who the judges, celebs and pro skaters were Jayne nor Chris nor Karen had no idea who was going to be working with them until the first day of training.


That day had come around quite quickly everyone seemed to be getting on well (everyone met everyone except for the judges they were going to find out who they were working along side at the end of the week when they came to having their photo's done) and Karen in particular was getting on very well with one of the shows Pro's Kristina Lenko by the end of the week they had become very close friends there was just something about the pair that seemed to click ... as if there was some sort of spark that had brought them so close to one another over that week. Kristina was very pretty little blonde headed skater and had a very bubbly and friendly personality.


*Friday early morning just before the first photo shoot* "Dad ... I've missed you" Karen froze in the middle of the rink when she heard the words coming out of Kristina's mouth and turned around to Chris "did ... did .. she ... just ... say dad" Nicky and Kristina stood at the side of the rink hugging. "Kristina ... " Karen called loudly in shock and surprise not really that bothered that Nicky was there at that moment "Oh My God ... is that ... is that ... my baby ... my beautiful little Kristina" Karen had not really thought much that Kristina could have ever been her daughter before and Kristina didn't have a clue what was going on Nicky had never told her much about her mother before and hadn't exactly told the truth to her either, infact he had been lying to her most of her life.


Kristina just stood looking up at Karen totally confused then turning to her dad "what .. what's she going on about dad?" "that ... that ... over there is your mother" "what ... seriously?" "yes ..." Karen butted in as Nicky was about to say something "why ... why have you not said anything to me about this earlier on during the week?" "I ... didn't know it was you ... you're surname is different ... I guess that's what confused me and I didn't think much of it" "yes ... I'm married ... I have been for 2 years."


"But ... hold on ... dad I thought you said mum had 30 years in prison" Karen, Jayne and Chris stood in shook and Karen didn't know what to say "You ... you did what ... you told her our ... my own daughter that I was in prison ... how ****ing low can you get ... was you that a shamed to tell her the real truth ... *Karen was becoming very angry and annoyed Chris was stood behind her trying to calm her down but she was becoming even more frustrated and her voice was raising* THAT YOU WERE THE ONE WHO KICKED ME OUT .... AND THAT YOU WERE THE ONE WHO TOOK MATTERS TO COURT AND SAID I WASN'T EVER ALLOWED TO SEE OUR DAUGHTER AGAIN..." "Karen .... shhhh ... calm down" "I WONT ****ING CALM DOWN .... DID YOU HEAR WHAT HE TOLD MY DAUGHTER ... THAT I WAS LOCKED UP FOR 30 YEARS ... SO WHAT DID WAS THE REASON HE SAID I WAS LOCKED UP FOR THEN" "I never gave her one ... I just said it was too complicated" "WHAT TOO COMPLICATED JUST TO SAY I'D HAD AN AFFAIR WITH YOUR BEST FRIEND."


"oh my God ... Dad why didn't you just tell me ... that is so harsh ... why didn't you let my own mother see me ... surely she had rights to see me" "no she didn't I took it to court ... I didn't want my daughter being brought up by a cheap slut who can't keep her clothes on" "HOW BLOODY DARE YOU ... YOU KNOW THE REASONS WHY ... ITS NOT LIKE I DIDN'T TELL YOU THE TRUTH IN THE END" "yeah nearly 6 months later" "but I still told you" her voice was starting to calm down a little but she was still very angry and upset she had missed watching her daughter grow up "so hows that relationship working then ... another 5 months down the line an was she having a affair with someone else."


Chris' mouth opened to say something but Karen spoke instead "no ... no in fact we will been married 10 years in December ... and have 3 daughters ... Emma and Ella 19 and Ellie-May 18 months" "you didn't hang around long after you left did you" "that's because I was already pregnant before I had even left you" (this didn't come out quite the way that she meant it to) "so ... so what the twins are mine?" "no ... they are 100% definitely Chris' girls" "so you definitely weren't hanging around long were you" just then a little voice came calling across the rink "mummy ... mummy..." Ellie-May came skating across to Karen. Ellie-May was such an adorable little thing, looked the spitting image of her mother and at 18 months old she could skate very well indeed she looked so cute dressed in baby pink tights, a little fluffy tutu, sleeved top and coat with her legwarmers over the top of her skates both her older sisters loved to dress her up in all sorts of little dresses that she suited perfectly.


"Hello baby ..." "mummy ... mummy" Ellie-May reached out her arms for Karen to lift her up "the girls been dressing you up again have they ..." "Emma ... Ella ... dress up" the conversation all of a sudden went from one thing to another and Nicky had stopped ranting on at Karen and had become quite amazed by little Ellie-May "how ... how did you get her skating at such a young age ... when did she start skating?" "on her first birthday ... she just took to it like a pro straight away ... we were quite surprised ourselves too."


I' going to leave it here for now as don't really know where to go with it now if anyone has any ideas what should do next then let me know I will be putting some other fics on that I've got wrote out though xxx
