Dancing on Ice Fanfiction

Hey everyone :) I've been a member on here for a while but haven't plucked up the courage to post anything yet so i've just been admiring all your work from afar :P 

This is just a quick little idea that popped into my head, so please tell me what you think :) Nobody has posted anything for a wee while so hopefully this gets the ball rolling!

Oh and just so nobody gets confused, " is Karen talking and ' is Chris :)

Karen sighed and turned to face Chris in the bed as he attempted to get closer to her without distracting her from the magazine she was reading. He had been like this all evening and, as much as she loved him, she was getting slightly annoyed.

"What's up?" She asked gently as she ran her hand through his hair.

Chris looked up and gave her a small smile, 'nothing' he told her and lay back down.

"Come on," Karen told him "you've been like this all night. And besides, I know you and I know when something's bothering you so come on tell me"

Chris sighed. He knew she was right, as she is most of the time.

He sat up. 'It's just... I, i'm going back to America tomorrow and i'm just gonna miss you so much. I hate it so much because when i'm here I miss the boys but when i'm over there I miss..' He was interrupted by Karen lips on his own, which he didn't protest against. 

"Stop worrying." She told him, "I'm going to miss you too but it's only a couple of weeks isn't it?" 'Hmm I suppose' He looked down, clearly still not convinced with Karen's attempt to bring him back to his usual happy self.

Karen decided to lie on top of him, so she could look at him and try to cheer him up and of course once again, he wasn't about to complain about this.

"Hey" She began, looking him in the eyes "we'll speak everyday on the phone or skype, it's 2 weeks it'll fly by!"

'I know, but that doesn't mean I won't miss you. I'll miss waking up next to you everyday, seeing your beautiful face, your kisses and cuddles.' He smiled at her. "When did you go all soppy? I must have missed something!" She giggled. 'Hey!' he pretended to be offended, 'I'm telling you all the things i'm going to miss about you and you're just being mean!' Karen was in fits of laughter by this point, 'Well I won't say anything nice to you again then if you're going to be like that!' He told her and turned away. "I'm sorry, I was only kidding! It was really nice the things you said." She assured him. 'hmm ok, i'm not sure i'm prepared to forgive you straight away though...' "And why ever not?!" She gasped, it was her turn to pretend to be offended. 'Well I may need a kiss first...' "Oh really?" 'mhmm' "Well I suppose I could manage that." She smiled and leaned down to kiss him. 

"Am I forgiven now then?" She asked as the kiss broke off. 'Ermm' Chris pretended to think, 'maybe just one more little one just to be sure' "Alright, there you go" She kissed him quickly on the lips. He smiled 'I love you.' "I love you too" and he leaned up to kiss her again. 

'We haven't really got to spend much time together this year have we?' Chris began. "Well not really no I suppose" Karen though out loud. 

'I promise next year we'll go away somewhere, anywhere, just me and you, nobody else no distractions' "Hmm that sounds nice, do you have anywhere in mind?" She asked him. 'Nope. But I don't mind you can choose, anywhere you like.' "I have no idea! I don't want to pick, what if you don't like it?" 'Kaz I really don't mind ok?' He assured her, 'It could be a half an hour drive away or a 12 hour flight away at the other side of the world, as long as i'm with you I really don't care.' He smiled up at her, she was still lying on top of him 'I could get used to this you know' "What?" She asked him 'An amazingly gorgeous, beautiful woman lying on top of me.' "Oh really? Well don't because it's not comfy at all!" she smiled down at him as he pretended to look sad. 'I'm gonna miss you so much' he told her. "I'll miss you too but we'll talk everyday ok?" She gave him a quick kiss, got off him and went back to her side of the bed. "And we have our holiday next year to look forward to remember?"  She reminded him. He got on top of her this time and kissed her, 'Just me and you' He said and kissed her again. She smiled, "Just me and you."
