SPEEDING

I've just been looking through my emails and found this very short fic I wrote ages ago it must have been one of the first I did and I thought I'd put it on here. There's a few short fics so I'm going to post them all here under one topic rather than having lots of short ones.

Karen had woken up before chris and it was very unusual, but she decided to let him lay in so she creeped downstairs quietly so she didn't wake him. The first thing she noticed as she walked downstairs was the pile of post on the doorstep... And an envelope marked 'confidential information inside' in big bold letters, she wondered what it could be... She opened it up and as she pulled out the Document she realised she had got caught for speeding...

She put her head in her hands and sweat was formingon her forhead, she was so nervous and had a sickening feeling in the pit of her stomach. What was chris going to say?? She had gotten a speeding ticket+fine, while she was in his car, she knew he was not going to be happy. Then she had the problem of how was she going to tell him? She was Now having a complete meltdown, and she hadn't even read the letter yet, she was petrified. Next thing she knew chris was standing at the bottom of the stairs, and she looked up at him thru her tears. He saw the state of her and a huge wave of panic went over him, he wondered what was the matter, he walked over to her and gave her a massive warm hug, and she held onto him tight.

'Now kaz darling, whatever is the matter????'

She could barely talk thru all the crying 'please... Please don't be mad at me... I'm so... Sorry and I don't know what you're going to think'

'oh honey whatever it is I'm sure its not that bad, just tell me, you're scaring me'

'I.... I....' She decided to just come out with it, and as she did she closed her eyes tight 'I got caught speeding... In your car'

The news didn't register to begin with and he didn't know what to think, but he was very protective of his car and had no points on his liscense so far, and very proud of it. 'I can't believe you, I really can't. I thought I trusted you!' Chris was getting very angry and him shouting just made karen cry even more, she hated it when he shouted at her, but he always did forgive her in the end, but this time it didn't look too good...

He carried on ranting at her and lecturing her on how to drive safely while she sat in front of him looking scared as hell, he couldn't Even look her straight in the eye, he didn't know what he was doing and had no idea what effect it was having on karen. When he was done he just took his jacket and stormed out the house, no idea where he was heading. Karen burst into even more tears, she hated herself so much. She didn't know what to do, and then the phone rang, she answered after about 10 rings, it was her daughter emma.

Emma knew her mum better than anyone else and even tho she tried to hold it together she couldn't and emma could tell something was wrong because her voice was quivering as she said hello. Karen told emma everything and she reassured her that everything was going to be okay and chris was just overreacting, soon he would come back and apologise, but it was no use, she was in such a state.

Emma Decided to go over to their place to try and cheer her mum up, and wait with her until chris came home. They sat and watched tv while emma held her mums hand making her feel safe. An hour later chris arrived back and emma left them to it, as soon as chris got in the door he came running up to kaz and gave her the biggest hug in the world, which made her cry again, but this time for a good reason.

He apologised a thousand times and told her it was going to be okay, he just overreacted, and it could happen to anyone, he was just shocked at the news and didn't know how to react. He then looked at the papers and realised she had only a £20 fine and only 5/6mph over the speed limit, it happened when she was on the way to the shopping center with jayne, the pair of them were probably giggling so Much she hadn't been concentrating. They sent off the fine and within a couple of days it was all sorted and everything was okay again... :) the end

here's another little one i've found, i don't really know what to call it :)

the break had just started and karen jumped out of her seat and ran backstage, she was fuming but tears were streaming down her face and her fists were clenched as she rushed down the corridor. chris knew exactly where she would go and followed her as quickly as he could get away. they had a secret little room they found round the back of the studios and went every week, it was calming and had a dim light in the corner but this time karen never bothered turning it on, she just went in and locked the door behind her, and slouched against the door kicking her shoes off. a couple of minutes later chris was knocking on the door and she pretended not to hear him, she knew he would come to find her and right nowwished he wouldnt fuss over her so much, even tho it was sweet and most of the time she appreciated his worry and concern for her. he stood there for at least 10 minutes trying to get something out of her, in the end she just opened the door and looked up to him into his eyes. she knew there was no point in hiding he would not give in until she came out... they were now missing the show as they were back on air but neither of them cared, right now each other were more important.

karen just put her arms around chris's neck and hugged him tight, while he just stood and hugged her back, his chin resting on her head. he whispered into her ear comforting her and telling her it was alright, wiping tears from her face. but after 5 minutes of standing like this karen had built up the anger again and wanted to see jason. she told chris this but he insisted that she stayed in the dressing room until the end of the show at least, he didnt want her to do anything she would regret. she stormed out of their little room and down the corridor, too quickly chris could do nothing, but he would have to try, he raced after her shouting her name and caught her just in time, he felt like he was playing a game of tag with his son, but this was serious. he had no idea what kaz was going to do and knew exactly what she was capable of. he grabbed her and brought her close but she just pushed him away...

he would not let her go and he was too strong for her so after realising this himself he just picked her up and carried her back to the dressing room (she still had no shoes on and her feet were dangling in the air). chris had to practically lock her in the dressing room to make her stay and she was still very upset but she just sat there as she knew there was no point in arguing with chris as he would always get his way. chris hurried back on as the next break had just finsihed, jayne looked worried and gave him a look, he gave her one back saying he would explain later. she looked worried about kaz her best friend and at the start of the next break she went to see if she was ok. she found kaz just sitting in the middle of the dressing room floor and went to talk to her, she got everything out of her and sat comforting her for the rest of the show which left chris very worried, and as soon as the show finished he came and joined them, they all sat and talked for about half an hour while kaz told them everything she felt, and after a while they moved and got ready to leave, in the car on the way home kaz was laying across chris with jayne at their side, and she apologised for her behaviour and thanked them both for being there for her all evening, she got a lot of phone calls when they arrived home making sure she was ok, which chris answered them all as he put kaz to bed as soon as they got in. jayne was staying the night as she wanted to make sure they were ok. the next day in training meant a lot to kaz and she realised hwo many amazing friends she really did have as every one was asking about her, tho it made her emotional to think of the nigth before she tried to just smile and thank everyone

they were both mine, the days where we both used to do one tiny little image of one haha they're so bad compared to now its funny i was just cracking up reading them again x __________________ "chris is happy because I am"
