There she was, a beautiful blonde woman, sat on her own at the back of a huge aeroplane, with her earphones in, she didn't even hear the pilot announce 'crew prepare the cabin for landing, we will be reaching our destination in 10 minutes'. She had no idea how long was going to be left after a gruelling 9 hour flight. All she knew, is that she couldn't wait to get there to see her boyfriend, who she hadn't seen for a whole month! Not seeing him for a month was rather difficult for Karen Barber, because they had been joined at the hip ever since training for this series of Dancing On Ice started in October 2010 Suddenly, the seatbelt light flashed, and Karen, got butterflies in her stomach, all that was running through her mind was 'I'm going to be with him in 20 minutes, yessss' of course it was 20 minutes because she had to go and collect her luggage, which usually takes a while!
She stepped off the plane, the sun shining brightly in to her eyes 'ahhh my home for the next month!! What a beautiful place' she thought to herself. She hurried herself through Border Control and went straight for her luggage, strangely, Karen's was the first 2 suitcases to come out, obviously Chris had told her 2 bring more than one case, as she was going to be staying for a while! She grabbed them, double checked the were hers, then rushed her self to 'pick up' where family members or friends wait for you, when you arrive.
There he was standing with his arms wide open, ready for her to fall into them. She ran and jumped on him unexpectedly and didn't ever want to let go. 'Oh god, I forgot how good you smelt Miss Barber!' Chris said as he took in everything going on, he's waited for a month to see his little princess, and there she was looking as beautiful as ever. They stood there, hugged and kissed for a while, then headed to Chris' car.
When they got into the beautiful audi Chris just stared at her, 'ay what are you gawping at anyway?' 'Oh sorry nothing, i just forgot how beautiful you actually are' Chris said, whilst stroking Karen cheek. 'I wouldn't say beautiful, but thank you anyway Mr, so what have you got planned for the next month' Karen said cheekily. 'Welllllllll, I don't lknow where to begin, we can go hiking,go for our fave Starbucks, go the zoo with boys, as I have promised them I will take them with you, and best of all, laze around together in bed!' 'Oooh the last part sounds good anyway;), well are we going to drive or what, ill be one hundred by the time we arrive at yours!!' 'Ooo sorry mum' Chris said sarcastically.
They held hands the whole way to Chis' house and basically just talked about what they had been upto the last month. When they finally arrived at Chris' new house Karen's jaw dropped, she had seen his old house, but it was nothing compared to this! It was brown brick, and had amazing bay windows, and stained glass windows on the top. 'Oh wow, your house is beautiful Chris' 'Just like you then;)' 'No! Its amaaazing!! 'Like you again?' 'Oh shut up Chris, I love it' 'As much as I love you, or more?' Chris said trying to joke with Karen, she just slapped him playfully and stepped out the car in a ladylike fashion, while she waited for Chris to get her cases out of his car boot.
They finally got in, jackets and shoes off, and after Chris had give Karen a tour of his house that she would be sharing with him for the next month,they both collapsed onto the couch and had a big,fat kiss as they hadn't had one in a long time. 'This is perfect Chris, thanks for letting me stay over her with you' 'Your welcome babe, I've missed you so much' Chris said as he sunggled into Karen and the both fell asleep in eachothers arms.
Chris was the first to wake up, he moved Karen carefully on to the other cushion and went to put another tracksuit on so he could get comfortable again. Karen stirred and woke up while Chris was upstairs, trying her best to remember which room was his she walked up the stairs and into the main bedroom. 'Chris, are you in here babe?' 'Oh my god, Kaz you just give me a heart attack, I thought you where asleep'. 'Yeah, I knew you weren't there and got lonely, thought I'd find you up here' 'Oh come here' Chris said giving her a big bear hug.'Chris your freezing, you need to put a top on' 'Yeah, that's what I was doing, but you came and scared me, Only joking, love you babe' Chris said bending down for a kiss, he loved the fact that he had to bemd down because Karen was so small. Giving him a kiss she said 'love you too, are we doing anything today gorgeous? ' 'its extremely cold, so do you just want to go for a meal, or the cinema or somewhere' 'can we go the pictures? I've been dying to see the Inbetweeners Movie, I don't know if its your cup of tea, but the girls have got me into it, and its hilarious' 'yeah, we will go see that then, you going like that, or are you getting changed?' 'No ill go like this, now go put a top on and we will go'
Karen and Chris got out of the cinema and headed to Chris' car, 'That was hilarious, I didn't know a group of teenage lads could make me laugh so much' 'Yeah, the girls love it, I'm sure they fancy them.' 'Yuk, they are discusting,and I'm not just saying that because I am a man' Chris said starting his car up. 'I mean, they've got nothing on me have they babe?' 'No, no they have not!!' Karen agreed patting Chris' knee!'

Once Karen and Chris finally arrived back at Chris' spectacular house Karen went straight upstairs to run herself a nice relaxing bath, as it had been a very long tiring day for her. Whilst Karen enjoyed her amazing bath, with her book Chris was downstairs getting Busy in the kitchen. He knew he had to be quick about it as Karen said she wouldnt be very long in the bath so he cooked her a very quick little dinner, layed candles out all around the dining room and poured her a glass of her her favourite wine.
'babe, im out of the bath ill be down now' 'okay lovely, its fine'. Karen got changed into old leggings and one of Chris' big jumpers and walked downstairs. 'Oh my gosh baby, this is.... amazing. I really dont know what to say except wow' Karen ran up to Chris and threw her arms and legs around him whilst they shared passionate kiss. 'Dont worry about it gorgeous. Its what you deserve, plus i missed you this past month and i love surprising you and seeing your little face' Chris said as he pulled Karen's chair out and sat himself down.
An hour later Karen and Chris were still sat in exactly the same position reflecting on the time they have been together and how amazing its been, and the fact that in another few months, they will have been together for a year. 'This has literally been the best year of my life Karen. Im so happy in my life right now, what with Dancing On Ice being so succesful and the boys have completely understood whats happenin g and took it extremley well, and then, theres you, you literally are my life and i never ever want to change that baby. I love you.' 'Oh Chris, you really are amazing. I love you too. Im thrilled at how your boys have took this and its just brilliant'
After another 20 minutes sat talking they decided to load the dishwasher with all the dishers, then sat on the couch with a glass of wine and Karen and Chris' favourite electric blanket. They snuggled up and just as Karen drifted off to sleep Chris whispered 'i love you. I always will, I hope you know that'.
